When Past Meets Future: The Steampunk Sound Arsenal

In the pursuit of audio material that stands out and resonates, it can be beneficial to fuse elements of the past with those of the future. Steampunk Weapons is an embodiment of this philosophy, serving as an ideal creative partner to enrich your sound library. This diverse collection of weapon sound effects and design represents a unique blend of old and new, breaking free from the confines of traditional weapon sounds. Rad, Chonky, and Fun

Chonky and fun predesigned sounds good for steampunk or any sci fi or hyper-real devices. Not just for weapons.

Stunning library, provided you can find the files

I'm going to give 5 star because the sounds this library has are amazing and varied, well recorded/designed, and I almost got it for free with the promotion.
BUT, there's a huge issue with the file names from a search query standpoint which I've never encountered with other companies' libraries (first two Soundmorph libraries I purchased and they both have this issue unfortunately). The UCS Category and Subcategory are literally the only useful thing if you're going to search for stuff through Soundly, file explorer, etc. The file names do not contain any word describing the types of sounds/materials/elements, only what is making it and the action performed if you're lucky.
Let's take one of the files as an example (they're all pretty similar structurally): 'LASRGun_SMorph_Steampunk Weapons - Bio Machine Single Shot 01'
Realistically speaking, to get this file to show up on a search query I have to either search for LASRGun and scroll through countless other files / remember the fictitious names of every gun in the library and how it sounds and type the specific name (in this case 'Bio Machine Gun') / manually select this specific library and go through it.
None of these options are practical or realistic, hence I've been finding myself to have to rename every single file and add nuanced terms to them, and it's going to take quite some time honestly. I don't know about others but I personally type 'Gun Metal Scifi' or 'Gun Pewing' or 'Laser Gun Impacts' or 'Blaster Futuristic Pulses', 'Metal Clanking Gun' 'Scifi Burst Energy' etc. when I look for these sounds, never in my wildest dreams I would think of typing 'Bio Machine Gun' or go through every single LASRGun file individually without nuanced refining terms. Like why aren't the recordings described? Is there metal clanking jingling clattering ringing squeaking? Is there a thump, a bonk, a kick, a burst, a tap? Zapping, charging, pulsating, wobbling? Air/Vapor hissing, screeching? Write it in the file name/description! What am I (or Soundly) supposed to do with just 'Bucket Gun' or 'Destroyer'? These are often composite sounds that have multiple things occurring, the library (and the users) would benefit immensely from proper and detailed file naming :)
If I had paid the full price the review would have been 3 stars (average between 1 for the user unfriendly file names and 5 for the quality of the sounds/recordings) and it would have been titled 'Having a supercar without the keys'.

Love you Jason and I'm grateful for what you guys do at Soundmorph :)

Versatile Weapons

Despite being "Steampunk", this library is actually quite versatile and provides well designed sounds for even futuristic and sci-fi scenarios.

Great Soundpack. Exactly how you imagine Sounds in Steampunk.
As with almost all Packs from SoundMorph, I like the clear and powerful bass of the Soundseffects.

A surprisingly versatile library, the metal elements in the sounds can be used in a wide range of things, impacts are crisp and punchy, really cool designs and a great library to work with!
