TOYED — A Library of Mechanical Character

Now Only $49 (Originally $399)

TOYED is a deep, curated library of over 5,000 mechanical sound effects, recorded and designed from a massive collection of servo-driven toys, micro-motors, gears, and plastic mechanisms. It’s tactile, expressive, and full of unexpected texture. I originally priced this at $399 because of the sheer effort behind it — but I’ve decided to make TOYED available for just $49.

Why? Because this library deserves to be used by the people who love sound — and I want you to have it.

Whether you’re designing for games, trailers, animation, UI, or experimental projects, TOYED delivers a wide variety of high-quality, character-rich mechanical elements ready to drop into your session.

What’s Inside:

  • 5,000+ high-quality sounds of mechanical toys, gears, servos, and motors
  • Recorded and designed by Jason Cushing, (Founder of SoundMorph)
  • Features contributions from top-tier SoundMorph designers: Andrew Pals, Tibo Csuko, and Vincent Fliniaux
  • Designed for use in games, film, Ui, trailers, animation, and experimental sound design
  • Includes 192 Khz Sanken Co-100k source recordings for high fidelity pitching

Why $49?

This is a library I loved making — even if it’s a little niche, I believe in it.

Rather than sit on it, I want it in the hands of people who will actually use it.

You get the full library for just $49. No catch. No stripped-down version. Thanks for supporting independent sound design. - Jason

TOP-CLASS SFX - Don't let the name fool you!

Don't let the "toyed" description or sourcing fool you - Toyed is a LARGE library of top-class, high-quality sound effects suitable for many applications. While seemingly most applicable to games and sci-fi by default, remember that these are samples that can each be manipulated in any number of ways to transform them for use in almost any genre, especially when fed into granular effects, sped up, slowed down, or ADSR shaped as drum kit samples, cinematic effects, orchestral underscoring, on and on. HIGHLY recommended!

Toying with TOYED

TOYED is a wildly inventive collection that reimagines the playful world of toys as a serious toolkit for sound design. This library bursts with squeaks, clicks, clatters, wind-ups, beeps, snaps, rattles, and mechanical quirks—all captured with precision and character. From tiny springs and plastic cranks to electronic bleeps and whimsical clunks, every sound feels both nostalgic and fresh.

The brilliance of TOYED lies in its dual personality. On one hand, it’s lighthearted and fun—perfect for creating cartoonish soundscapes, playful animations, or quirky game audio. On the other, its raw textures, mechanical tones, and unexpected rhythms lend themselves to experimental music, foley layering, and even unsettling atmospheres when pushed in new directions.

Jason Cushing once again shows his mastery of texture and detail. Each sound is clean, dynamic, and bursting with charm, yet versatile enough to be reshaped into something entirely new.

Whether you’re a game audio designer, a film sound artist, or a musician looking for strange and delightful inspiration, TOYED is a must-have library that proves toys aren’t just for kids—they’re a playground for sonic imagination.

Missing files

I recently grabbed two packs- lost transmissions (sick btw) and the TOYED pack. TOYED pack, all 5 RAR files only had one SHOT folder with samples. Every other sample folder is labeled like they would be for a pack, but empty. Artwork, Metadata, Soundcloud, and the Behind the scenes folder all contain their files. This is ONLY happening with the Jason Cushing's TOYED folders/files.

I sent an email 08/27 that hasn’t been replied to. I've used different tools and downloaded multiple times, but I keep getting the same result! Both were purchased with the $99 deal before that closed on Tuesday, not sure if that makes a difference. LT pack is perfect so I was wondering if you had any suggestions because I'm lost as to what to do next.

Quality of samples in the one folder I do have, is excellent.

Hi Johnny, Saw your review, and wanted to help out! Once you download all the parts you only need to open the first part and it will reference all the other parts. But you need to open it with something like 7zip (PC) or UnrarX or Keka (Mac). Just make sure you have all the .Rar files in the same folder before you unarchive. If you are still having issues write to me at jason@soundmorph.com. We understand the unarchiving process can be pretty confusing, so we are looking into building a installer app for all of our software and libraries...but it may take a little time to make. Thanks for checking out our products! - Jason››››
