Doom Drones 3

The recording journey took in a 1920s Gothic Revival building and an old Industrial Revolution-era factory. The included recordings also explore rooftop ambience, parking garages, a water tank, electrical rooms, ventilation systems and mechanical rumble.

These sounds bring their own irregularities and sense of space—use them as environments, layers, or starting points for further design.

Cassette manipulations, broken-tape textures, synth drones and machine-like tones form a large part of the collection. Some sounds stay close to a hum or a sustained note. Others shift, fray and build into something much less familiar.

Explore sounds including Cold Tape Warble, Grain Ghosts, Space Machine Room, Factory Floor and the Cassette Manipulations series.
