TOYED turns more than 100 toys and mechanical objects into a deep collection of movement, motors, servos, mechanisms, impacts, and designed machine character. Recorded and designed by Jason Cushing, the library contains over 5,000 sounds that move well beyond the objects they came from.

Small motors can become robotic joints. Plastic mechanisms can become futuristic devices. Toy movements, clicks, rattles, gears, and servo textures can be layered into creatures, machines, interfaces, weapons, or animated objects with a tactile sense of personality.

TOYED originally launched at $399. Because its subject is unusually specialized—and because we wanted more sound designers to actually have access to the material—we permanently lowered the price to $49.
